Ministries

The Music Ministry is an active and vital part of the life of First Baptist. From Sunday morning worship to special programs and events, music is a tool that God graciously uses to speak to us and through us. With a host of very talented members we are able to enjoy beautiful and meaningful musical worship.

God has blessed and continues to bless the Music Ministry of First Baptist. We would love to have you join any of these groups.

We offer a number of discipleship opportunities at First Baptist, including Wednesday night Bible Study, Sunday School groups, and a Women's Bible Study.

We have a wide variety of opportunities for our children to grow and develop while having fun and improving their knowledge and skills.  We offer Sunday morning Bible study, children's choir, Missions education and hands on experiences.  Our children have the opportunity to experience Summer camp and fun events throughout the year.  We provide Vacation Bible School, Children's Day in Worship, the annual Easter Egg Hunt and the Great pumpkin pancake breakfast with costumes welcome and loads of candy for all.

Our youth ministry walks with students as we explore how faith actually shows up in our daily lives.  Our collective goal is to become better disciples of Jesus Christ.  We do this through prayer, reading and studying scripture together, fellowship in community, and service to the community around us.

Throughout the month of October, we raise funds to be distributed to our mission partners.  We also collect Christmas box donations to be assembled and sent to Scarlette Jasper's Olive Branch Ministries in KY.  Various trips are planned and scheduled each year, contact the church office for details.
